  • Judge to Bar Jail Staffing Changes

    The Orange County Sheriff's Department is barred from making any staffing
    changes at its jails for now, a judge said Friday, approving a request by the
    deputies' union to keep the department from shifting jobs once assigned to
    sworn deputies to civilian jailers.
